Spring Concert 2026
Celebrating our 250th birthday
Our concert rightfully started with Dr. Albee's Prelude "Remembering 9/11" then our ladies Quartet sang a lovely arrangement of our National Anthem, "The Star Spangled Banner". Looney Tunes theme song "This is it" brought memories back for many, as Jeanine, Lezlie, and Jim mimicked the Looney Tunes characters in a choreographed dance to the tune.
Hearts were touched and pride was felt as several patriotic numbers were presented, such as the emotional number, "Tell My Father", sung by our Men and Friends and highlighting Christian Wigley. A lovely arrangement of Amazing Grace was sung. "On my Father's Side" sung by Alexa Manza and Jan Doke, with portrayal of a Teacher by Jim Hays, and accompanied on guitar by Johnny Herring was very well received. Then a fun arrangement of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" was presented highlighting the voices of Hope Ash and Rachal Fowler, accompanied on ukelele by Christian Wigley and Brenda Merz. Smiles and foot tapping were exhibited by the audience during a special group presentation of "This Ol' Man".
"Daddy Sang Bass" was well received by all as the audience was asked to join in at the end if they knew the song. Then the mood was changed as a harmonic version of "If Ever I Would Leave You" was presented by the Harmonix, with a solo by Lezlie Mann, and "Danny Boy" was sung by the smooth deep bass voice of Caleb Fowler.
After recognizing our service men and women along with our Veterans in our "Tribute to the Armed Forces", Carson Stephens soloed on our Grand Finale, a chorus medley of "You'll Never Walk Alone and Climb Every Mountain".
